Luke has become fascinated with the ottoman. He loves to work his way under it. It's quite entertaining to watch.

Luke and Lilly
We surprised Grandma German with a white miniature schnauzer for her 70th birthday! Her and Grandpa German were pretty surprised, but even more excited. They quickly named her Lilly, and are anxious for Luke and Lilly to be play together very soon.
And here are a few more pictures from last weekend when Grandma and Grandpa German came to visit.
Luke doesn't look too impressed...
Someone has been jumping around in his jumparoo a little too much...

Cubs Game!
Luke attended his second Cubs game (first with Grandma and Grandpa German and Aunt Kimberly) on Friday. He was extremely excited for the game...
..and was paying really close attention,
...until he found out Marquis gave up a 4 run lead to the worst team in baseball, causing him to drink heavily...
..which led to this...
Unfortunately, the Cubs lost the game but won the series, and as I write this they own the best record in all of baseball, 80-50! Go Cubs!

Sitting Up
My friends told me I can now consider Luke able to sit on his own, despite the fact that he still tips over quite a bit. The boy just can't sit still! But he does manage to sit independently for a couple of minutes if he's not too wound up. He loves it when I toss his ball at him while he's sitting - it cracks him up!

High Chair
Luke had his first meal in the high chair tonight. He's not crazy about it yet - he looked a little uncomfortable. But that didn't stop him from devouring the very appetizing veggie/beef/rice combo pictured below. Oh wait, let me rephrase that - he ate the combo but DESTROYED the vanilla pudding dessert.

6 Month Appointment
We just got back from Luke's 6 month appointment. He's now 30" and 20 lbs., so we have to buy a new car seat, which Kevin wasn't too excited to hear! Luke will now be having 3 meals a day, cutting back on cereal and formula, increasing fruits, veggies and even meats! You should have seen his face light up when we were discussing MORE FOOD. I just bought Kevin's favorite baby food, peach cobbler, so the two of them will have to battle it out to see who gets it. My bets are on Luke! He also gets to start the sippy cup, which will be fun. Overall, a healthy and happy boy! Now we are both going to take naps... :)

Retro on Roscoe
We brought Luke with us to the Retro on Roscoe street fest yesterday (Saturday). It was actually the 5 year anniversary of the day Erin and I met at that very street fest - Saturday, August 2nd 2003. A lot can happen in 5 years, let me tell you. Luke was also able to meet a bunch of Aunt Sissy's friends, including his new girlfriend Avery...
