Tropical Luke

Here's Luke sporting the Hawaiian outfit that Sarah got for him during her trip to Singapore. She thought that he might like Hawaiian gear just like his dad does. Needless to say, there's nothing subtle about his outfit! Orange is certainly his color.

Evidence!

I was extremely surprised and delighted the other day when Luke spilled his milk, went and grabbed his blankie, and used it to wipe up the spill. I decided I needed to get photos of his cleaning skills to use against him in the future if need be. Hopefully he'll be an extremely neat and clean child and I won't need proof of these early attempts (yeah right).

Day With Daddy

Luke and I spent the day together last Saturday while Mommy went to the Cubs game. Our power was out the entire day thanks to the thunderstorm the night earlier, so Luke and I went shopping, played in the pool and went over to a friend's house to watch the last few innings of the Cubs game.

The Sun!

We had a beautiful day yesterday, so we took Luke and Chase to the splash park. Luke was, once again, very imtimidated by the sprinklers, while Chase ran right in! They both, however, spent the most time on the train. Holli couldn't keep Chase away from it! This morning I thought Luke looked cute (as usual!) so I took a couple of pics of him outside.

Aunt Kimberly's Graduation

We celebrated Kimberly's graduation and Ben's birthday last Sunday with a little get together on our patio. Congratulations Aunt Kimberly and Happy Birthday Ben! It also happened to be Luke's 16 month birthday as well.

First Ice Cream Cone

Luke enjoyed his first ice cream cone from Dairy Queen this afternoon. We took a family trip to the local park, then headed over to DQ for a little snack. Luke really enjoyed the slide and the swing, but I have a feeling he liked the ice cream a little better.

Playdate with Yani & Johan

Today we ventured down to the city for a playdate with a former co-worker of mine, Yani, and her son, Johan, who is a month younger than Luke. I haven't seen Yani since I "retired" so it was so fun to catch up and have our boys together. Johan is SUCH a sweetie pie... You should have seen him jump and his eyes get huge when Luke would let out one of his screeches! It was too funny... Here are a few pics - it was hard to get them to sit still! I couldn't resist the booty shot of Luke. He has some of his mommy in him after all!!!

Playdate

We hosted an awesome playdate today, although you won't be able to tell from the pics! The boys all look mad! Denyse and Max Gigot came in from downtown to join us. Max has the best expression when he's upset, as you'll see below. Unfortunately I didn't get the camera out before Riley, Jacob, and Chase had to leave. We ended with lunch at Two Toots which was a blast as usual.
