Luke has been taking a class at Brookfield zoo with his buddy Max. We were in the greenhouse today and the boys had a blast watering the plants and digging in the dirt. Max enjoyed petting the snake but Luke was a little intimidated - I think he gave it a quick pat! And both the boys really enjoyed the story. Luke's favorite part!

The German Family Zoo
Luke is like a caged animal now that we have our backyard fenced in. The wild hairdo he was sporting today certainly added to the effect. Yea! What a relief to know that he can run around and have fun but not run AWAY! Of course it didn't take him long to figure out how to open part of the driveway gate - fortunately there is another latch higher that he can't reach - yet. But even that has a key so hopefully we can keep him contained for a few years...

Easter Egg Extravaganza
Today we "attempted" to participate in the Glen Ellyn Park District's Easter Egg Hunt. It was utter chaos! Luke didn't stand a chance at grabbing an egg as he was competing with kids up to 8 years old. Plus he was scared to death of all the craziness! Fortunately Daddy was able to help him grab a few. Aunt Sissy took video which she said the highlight was Mommy and Daddy's comments at the end, "What? That's it? That sucked!!!". Better luck next year!
