Mom's New Car

We didn't get a pic on my bday, so here's Luke and I in front of our new car. You can't see it too well but we LOVE IT! We feel so much safer zipping around town. Thanks Daddy!

Lucas Visits the Pumpkin Patch

Lucas made his first visit to the pumpkin patch today. Great Grandma, Great Aunt Karen, Aunt Kimberly and Cheryl and the twins came along for the ride. As you can tell from the pictures, he really enjoyed it. He's anxious to go again when Grandma and Grandpa German come to town.

Rugs, Curtains, Decor - OH MY!

Poor Luke... We dragged him all over the 'burbs this week while Grandma B. and Great Aunt Julie were in town. We were working on decorating the living room. He was SUCH a trooper... Can't believe how well he endured all the shopping we did. Of course, he got quite a bit of attention from all the ladies at the various shops, which he certainly did not mind!

2008 Division Champion Chicago Cubs!

We celebrated (with champagne of course) the Cubs 2nd Division Championship in a row today as they beat the Cardinals 5-4. All that's left is a National League Pennant and dare I say a World Series Championship?!? As you can see, Luke was all smiles after the victory. After a KU National Championship and a Cubs Division Championship, I have to say the little bugger is quite the good luck charm. Go Luke Go!

Poor Baby!

What an unfortunately eventful day! Luke has been stuffed up for the past few days, but woke up this morning with some labored breathing. To be safe, we went to the doctor, and he was diagnosed with an ear infection AND croup!! His first illnesses... Poor little guy! Fortunately it hasn't affected his demeanor - he's happy and still very active. We'll just be spending the next few days inside.

What a Fun Weekend

Despite the crummy weather, we had a great time with the Wasleskis over the weekend. The two Lukes got along great, although Luke W. took down Luke G. in a wrestling match. Sarah also came out so she could see the everyone, and Randall and Luke had some playtime. Thank you Wasleskis for coming to visit! Hopefully we'll get to KC sometime soon...

Baby Jayhawks

With the KU football team losing last night, the two Luke's have already turned their attention towards KU basketball. Walk-on tryouts are October 15th, so they need to start practicing. Luke W has his spin move down pat while Luke G has perfected the pick and roll (especially the roll). Coach Bill Self, however, probably won't be too impressed until they start crawling...

Thing One and Thing Two

The two Lukes FINALLY met today! They are the cutest babies EVER, of course. We've decided they can room together when they both go to KU.

Personality Plus!

Luke was sticking his tongue out at me and it was so cute so I took some pics... He's just full of personality these days! We are SO EXCITED for our weekend with Luke Wasleski. It will be so fun to finally have the boys together.

Happy 7 Months Luke!

Luke also popped a new tooth on top overnight, so today was certainly a big day. He wore his Bears jammies tonight in honor of the start of the NFL season, although he will have to provide an EXCEPTIONAL amount of luck for da Bears to be any good this year.

Oktoberfest!

We brought Luke to his first Oktoberfest in Lincoln Square today. He had a lot fun and drank a lot (of formula). He drank so much, in fact, and was so excited that he peed on our friend Dawn's Mom at a party after the fest. Not the best way to make a first impression...

Lunch at Great Grandma's House

We had lunch with Great Grandma and Great Aunt Karen today. Luke was in an uncharacteristically cuddly mood so Great Grandma got lots of lap time!

Sippy Cup

I've started working with Luke and the sippy cup... This morning was the first time he grabbed it and seemed to understand that he could drink out of it. Such a smart boy!
