A German Christmas

We're having fun celebrating Christmas this weekend at the German household, and Luke made out pretty well again. Among other things Santa brought him a little car, a tee-ball set, and a cool little mug with his name on it (from which he's already drinking from!). He's also been having lots of fun playing and getting licked by Lilly...

We had so much fun with Poppa and Grandma B. We will be sad to leave tomorrow but look forward to seeing the rest of the family.

Waiting For Santa

Luke is anxiously awaiting his first visit from Santa. He initially thought it might be a good idea to leave some cookies for Santa, until he decided to eat the cookies himself. Hopefully Santa won't hold that against him. If he does, at least Luke was able to open his first Christmas gift from Aunt Sissy. He really enojoyed the play table, especially the cell phone (you can blame Mom for that). Merry Christmas to all! I hope Santa treats you well.

Luke and the Dogs

Luke is having a great time with Sadie and Missy. They let him mess with them all he wants and don't bat an eye. He even crawled right over Sadie's head and she didn't budge an inch. Sadie in particular perplexes him because she is so big, makes funny noises and moves so slow, if at all. He can't quite figure her out!

Big Day!

What an exciting day we had! First Luke got to meet my cousin Lisa and her daughter Brenee. Luke wasn't shy at all - crawled right onto Lisa's lap. We hung out for a few hours and watched the KU game. Later on we got a big surprise!!! Daddy drove all the way down from GE today to be with us. We were so happy to see him! Guess he couldn't stand to be away from his baby...

We Made it to Hutch!

Everything went smoothly with our flight to Wichita yesterday. Luke was a champ - slept on the plane and only got squirmy towards the end. But once we got to Grandma and Poppa's house, he was a disaster!!! So fussy. Finally put him to bed at 6pm and he slept 13 hours! At some point in the night he got sick, which we discovered in the morning. Poor little guy! Obviously travelling was tough on him. But today he's back to his old self... We visited Great Grandma Cushing in the morning. She thought he was so cute, of course! Later he discovered the Christmas tree and finally he enjoyed a ginger snap after dinner.

Little Booties

Kristin gave the boys the most adorable matching PJs today. They couldn't have looked any cuter crawling around with their names on their little booties. Thanks Kristin!

Santa!

Luke had his first photo with Santa yesterday. This was the pic we got before he started crying. He looks huge! He was so tiny in his pic with the Easter Bunny!

Luke made his first trip to Sycamore last weekend to visit his Great Great Uncle Lewie and Aunt Evelyn. We had a great time and Luke came home with a brand new teddy bear!

Erin is out with her girfriends tonight, so Luke and I have the house to ourselves. Disaster is soon to follow...

It's All About the Stairs

Luke got away from me while I was changing him today. And where did he go? Straight to the stairs, of course - his new obsession. I grabbed the camera so I could get some good thigh shots. He's so going to hate us when he's older.
