Golden Delicious Luke

It turned out to be a gorgeous day, so we decided to pick some apples over at Kuipers Farm in Maple Park. Luke wasted no time picking the apples off the tree, then placing them directly in his mouth. He ate a total of 3 apples while Mom and Dad were picking...

College Football Saturday

I never thought I'd put a Nebraska sweatshirt on my son, but I thought
Grandma G would appreciate it. Cover your eyes Kimberly.

The Kansas football game was actually on TV here so we watched a
little of that today. We are anxiously awaiting basketball season.

And then we ate lunch...

Fall Has Arrived

Luke and I are determined to take advantage of the outside as long as possible now that Fall has arrived. We spend a LOT of time at the park. The dark days of long Chicago winters are on the horizon... What on earth are we going to do?

Partying in the City

Luke had no problem hangin' with the grown ups when we took a trip downtown last weekend. Sarah had a little get together in her courtyard and sure enough Luke had to be the center of attention. He certainly dominated the make-shift version of "bags" that took place.

Bear Down!

Luke is pumped for the Bears season opener tonight against Green Bay (even though he'll be in bed).
He's been practicing his hiking stance...

A friendly face for the crowd...

A tough face for the Packers...

GRRRRRR!!!! Bear Down, Chicago Bears!

Saturday

Aunt Sarah came and kept us company while Daddy is in Cali without us (hmph!). She had some trouble managing the attention demands of both boys. At one point both Luke and Randall were on her lap. Later she and Luke did some texting and made a call to Grandma.

The Two Cutest Kids Ever

When Luke and I visited Grandma G in Omaha last month, Luke received a haircut from Grandma's hair dresser Carol (who she has been going to for about 40 years or so). As it turns out, Carol also cut my hair when I was Luke's age and Grandma found the pictures to prove it.
