Luke, Leinenkugels, and Lumberjacks

One of the festivities we enjoyed while in Wisconsin was the 2008 Lumberjack World Championships. It's held every year in Hayward, WI (about 1/2 hour away from the cabin) and it's a lot of fun. There aren't too many places you can see tree splitting, log rolling, and 90 feet tree climbing!

We're Back from the Lake!

We had a wonderful time at the cabin last week - one of the best years yet! Having two little guys around certainly made it extra fun. The Costanza

We had professional photos of Lucas taken a couple days ago, and this was one of the pictures we ordered. As most of you know, I'm a huge Seinfeld fan and while this pose wasn't planned, I couldn't help but order it once I saw it.

Luke can't wait "to spend one of those truly glorious weekends in the Hamptons" next weekend...

Hangin' Out

Luke and I were just hangin' out tonight so I thought I'd take some pictures. He was full of new sounds today... Sometimes one day is so different from the previous I feel like I'm meeting a new baby! He's been doing really well in his Bumbo seat at brunch and dinner and is loving solids now - can't seem to get the spoon in his mouth fast enough! I just strip him down before eating rather than messing with bibs. Makes the clean up much easier!

Luke spends most of the time on his tummy. He absolutely refuses to stay on his back, day or night!

Again, the eyelashes...! Definitely got those from Kevin. Why do the guys get them?

Good Ol' Wisconsin

A trip through Wisconsin isn't complete without a photo op with some of the state's local "tourist attractions". How many places can you take your picture with a giant orange moose AND a giant mouse eating a block of cheese???

Luke is 5 Months Old!

Luke turned 5 months yesterday. We cannot believe how quickly the time is going by. Each day brings a new sound or action. He just gets more and more fun!

Luke really enjoyed his first trip to the lake. He actually enjoyed it a little too much, as you can tell by the first picture below. He's pretty anxious to go back in a couple weeks to meet the rest of Erin's family...

Mom's Little Ripper

I just had to get this shirt for Luke in honor of Poppa Rip. He used to coach Sarah's softball team, the Rippers, so I knew he'd get a kick of it. Plus Luke often times reminds me of his poppa! If you click on the second pic you can see a close up of his new chompers!
