Easter Sunday

Weston enjoyed his first Easter and Luke enjoyed his first Easter egg hunt in our backyard today, as KK and GG came over for brunch.

As you can see, Luke had fun searching for eggs in the backyard..

Then, he was actually willing to share his eggs with the little guy:

Easter Fun

Luke dyed Easter eggs for the first time on Friday night. He really did a great job. He was very good about putting the egg into the dye "somewhat" carefully. And he was very focused when he tranferred them from the dye to the drying tray. It was funny to see him organize them by color. A little OCD maybe? LOL! By the way, in case you didn't notice Luke got a summer hair cut earlier in the day. Kevin took him and sure enough Luke came home looking just like Daddy!
 
 
 
 

9 Month Check Up

Weston had his 9 month check up on Thursday. The doc kept saying "he's so handsy". I worry about his dating future! He's doing great and has grown to 20lbs. 6oz. (48%) and 29.5" (87%). So he's tall and skinny! It's crazy - I feel like he's been growing up before my eyes over the past couple of weeks. He's now self-feeding very well and rolling all over the room. Today I caught him up on his knees so crawling may be in the near future. He's also developing quite the personality. He loves to grunt and growl like a little animal! It's hilarious! He's been struggling a bit with teething - we think he has FOUR coming in on top. Poor guy! But he's definitely a tough little guy!

Guess who is 9 months old???

Okay, I don't know how Kevin and I ended up with such photogenic children but this child is ridiculously cute. I'm sorry, I know he's my own, but come on... These pictures are too much. Can you believe he is already 9 months old? My goodness how the time has flown by. And he continues to be such a joy. He's definitely growing up. He's more on the move, via rolling and rotating, babbling like crazy and overall is really developing a personality. Hard to imagine he only has 3 more months until his first birthday. He'll always be my baby! Doctor visit tomorrow... I'll post again with specs. Go Cubs!

Weston is following in Luke's footsteps with his rolling under things. Sure enough, he got completely under one of the living room chairs. And at this very moment he's heading towards the ottoman (Luke's favorite) in the family room!

Unfortunately it's terribly difficult to take pictures of Luke anymore as he never stops moving! I look forward to going outside again where I won't have to deal with so much blur! But here's a few decent ones... Such a handsome boy (if I do say so myself)!

Weston is 8 Months Today!

And what a little man he is becoming. He's really starting to fill out his chair! He's doing great sitting and has started rolling around a bit. I was looking at the blog when Luke was this age and realized he started crawling at about 8.5 months. Fortunately Weston is not even CLOSE to crawling. He seems like way too much of a baby to me to be crawling! But he certainly is doing lots of babbling. We've heard "da da", "ba ba" and "ma ma". Such a sweetie pie!

I am pleased, thrilled, ecstatic, and relieved (pun intended) to announce that Luke is officially potty trained! It was actually surprisingly easy. It took about a week using M&Ms and a sticker chart for motivation. We are so proud of him. What a big boy he is!
